I’ve been seeing a bunch of ads for Ethan Allen’s new modern line. When I was on a serious hunt five years ago for new living room furniture I hit all of the major and minor stores on the Wasatch Front. I included Thomasville and Ethan Allen on my list, because you just never know where you’ll find an amazing piece. They had a few token ‘could be modern’ type pieces, but nothing cohesive. I was a little disappointed, but hey, if you don’t want my money!

Flash forward to today when Ethan Allen seems intent on reaching the modern community. Is this too little too late? Not to mention, too expensive? Are the rest of the major companies missing out (ahem Thomasville, Basset…) on a significant market?

I ended up purchasing from Manhattan Loft, btw. I looked for their website tonight and it’s no longer there. Does anyone know if they survived the location move?
